Here we go again…

29 Aug

Ok, so yeah, I didn’t do too great at Live Fit. It might have been a little too much to fast. Oh well. I’m back on the wagon to try again and this time, I’m doing Weight Watchers and running! I was kind of against WW but it is so incredibly easy AND their recipes are awesome! The best part about everything is that Fernando is getting into it too! I can’t even begin to describe how amazing it feels to know that he is supporting in this and that he is working towards getting healthy as well. It’s so hard to do it on your own and I think that since he is on the same page as me it’ll be easier to stick with the plan and motivate each other to work out and eat right.

About this whole working out thing… specifically running…I hate it. I. Hate. Running. But you know what? I used to LOVE it! Love, love, love. What I hate is how out of shape I am these days, and how hard it is for me to even run 1.5 miles (although, last night I got lost and ended up running 2 miles, woo!).  I used to be an amazing runner that could run miles and miles no problem. So in order to keep going, I just think about how much I used to love it and keep telling myself that it will get easier.  I also found this website yesterday: http://mamasweeds.com/how-to/how-to-love-running/. She hated running too but then after a while, learned to love it therefore, she is my inspiration! She also suggested that in order to keep up with the running, you need to sign up for some races so yesterday I signed up for the Clarendon Day 5K and the SOME (So Others Might Eat) Turkey Trot 5k. Fingers crossed that this keeps me motivated!

Diet-wise, I’ve actually been doing really well! My new favorite breakfast is a chocolate, peanut butter, banana smoothie. My recipe is like this one ( http://www.makeandtakes.com/chocolate-peanut-butter-and-banana-smoothie) but I only use a table spoon of PB and unsweetened chocolate and 1/2 cup almond milk. mmmm….SO delicious and it keeps me full until lunch time.

Lunch consists of a salad, which is fine but I’m going to have to start spicing they up a bit. I’ve been too lazy in the morning to really put any effort into them and usually just end up throwing half a bag of a spinach in to my Tupperware. Blech. When I start to get real sick of my lunch, I’m going to go here: http://www.prevention.com/food/healthy-eating-tips/12-hunger-fighting-power-salads to find some fun, new, delicious salads.

Tonight, I’m making these bad boys http://www.weightwatchers.com/food/rcp/RecipePage.aspx?recipeId=146401 and some yummy veggies!

I love eating healthy:)
